Jalen Rose hosts 16th annual JRLA Celebrity Golf Classic in Dearborn

Jalen Rose held his 16th annual Jalen Rose Leadership Academy (JRLA) Celebrity Golf Classic on July 27 at TPC Michigan in Dearborn. The event raised funds for JRLA, a charter school that opened in 2011 and currently enrolls over 400 students in grades 9 to 12. During the gathering, Rose expressed gratitude to supporters and discussed the upcoming expansion of the academy, which includes a new building previously a hospital. He plans to convert the new facility into a high school for up to 800 students and establish a middle school in the current building. Rose has also resumed making regular TV appearances after his departure from ESPN in 2023.
