Ja'Lynn Polk retires from football after two years in NFL

Former Washington Huskies wide receiver Ja'Lynn Polk has announced his retirement from football at the age of 24. Polk played two seasons in the NFL, spending his rookie year with the New England Patriots, where he made 12 receptions for 87 yards and two touchdowns. He later joined the New Orleans Saints but did not appear in any regular season games due to injuries. Polk's career ended shortly after he was placed on the reserve/retired list following a shoulder surgery. His time at Washington included impressive statistics, totaling 115 receptions for 1,967 yards and 16 touchdowns over three years.
