Jamahal Hill has officially announced his transition from the light heavyweight division to heavyweight. Speaking on his YouTube channel, Hill, 35, shared that he has been working on gaining the necessary weight and muscle for the move. Hill last fought in June 2025, where he lost to Khalil Rountree. He is targeting a return to the octagon by the end of 2026, possibly aiming for a fight at Madison Square Garden, with hopes of facing heavyweight Josh Hokit. Hill captured the light heavyweight title in January 2023 before losing it and then struggling with injuries.
