Jamal Hill signs with Jaguars practice squad after Texans release

Summary

Former Houston Texans linebacker Jamal Hill has signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars practice squad after clearing waivers. Hill was released by the Texans amid speculation he could return to their practice squad after contributing mainly on special teams and having a productive 2022 season. The Texans had recently waived another linebacker, Aiden Fisher, who joined the Kansas City Chiefs practice squad. The Texans, who face the New York Giants in Week 7, have a full practice squad, including recently re-signed Kenneth Murray. Hill will potentially face his former team in Week 15 when the Jaguars play in Houston.
