JaMarcus Shephard making an impact as Oregon State head coach

JaMarcus Shephard, in his first year as head coach at Oregon State, is gaining recognition in college football despite a 1-2 record. Formerly the assistant head coach at Washington, Shephard has quickly made strides at Oregon State, including leading an explosive offense with freshman wideout Jesse Legree, who leads the FBS in receiving yards. After a difficult start against ranked opponents, the Beavers secured their first victory of the season with a 52-17 win over Montana. Oregon State will conclude non-conference play with a game against UTEP.
