Jameis Winston ranked fourth among NFL backup quarterbacks for 2026

Summary

New York Giants quarterback Jameis Winston has been ranked fourth among backup quarterbacks in the NFL heading into the 2026 season. Sports Illustrated's Gilberto Manzano highlights Winston's aggressive playing style and past performances, including a notable game against the Lions where he threw for 366 yards. Although Winston has faced issues with turnovers, he remains capable of being a starter, having recorded 567 passing yards and two touchdowns in two starts last season. If Giants starter Jaxson Dart is injured, Winston is expected to be a reliable option.
