James Guy earns silver in men's 200m freestyle at Commonwealth Games

James Guy won a silver medal in the men's 200m freestyle final at the Commonwealth Games in 2026, finishing with a time of 1:45.72. He shared second place with fellow Welsh swimmer Matt Richards. Australian swimmer Kai Taylor took gold with a time of 1:45.22. Guy's achievement marks his second medal of the Games and the 15th of his career. Alongside Guy, Oliver Morgan secured silver in the men's 100m backstroke, while Bruce Dee won bronze in the men's S7 50m freestyle and the England men’s 4x100m medley relay team claimed silver against Australia.
