James Milner returns to Liverpool as youth academy coach

James Milner has taken on a coaching role at Liverpool's youth academy after retiring from professional soccer this summer. The 40-year-old is assisting with various age groups, starting with the Under-11s, while progressing through coaching qualifications, including his UEFA A License. Milner previously worked with Liverpool youth teams during his playing career, which included an influential role before an FA Cup match against Shrewsbury Town in 2020. He is not contracted as a full-time staff member as he builds experience in coaching.
