James Wiseman impresses in preseason with New York Knicks

James Wiseman, the former No. 2 overall pick, has made a strong impression during the NBA preseason while playing for the New York Knicks. In a recent game, he scored 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in 24 minutes, showcasing his potential for a roster spot. Currently on an Exhibit 9 deal, Wiseman faces competition to secure the remaining open roster position after the Knicks lost Mitchell Robinson to free agency. Wiseman's past two seasons have been challenging, with only five NBA appearances since leaving the Golden State Warriors after 60 games. New York aims to finalize its roster before the start of the regular season, and Wiseman is positioning himself as a valuable addition behind Karl-Anthony Towns and Andre Drummond.
