Jamie Arnold and Taylor debut for Triple-A Las Vegas Aviators

The Athletics promoted prospects Jamie Arnold and Taylor to Triple-A Las Vegas on Tuesday to evaluate their readiness for the 2027 season. Arnold pitched five scoreless innings in his debut against the El Paso Chihuahuas, striking out five while allowing four hits and two walks. The right-hander required only 67 pitches to complete his outing, relying on a four-seamer, sweeper, sinker, and splitter. Taylor, playing right field, finished his debut 2-for-4 with two singles, a walk, and one run scored. He demonstrated plate discipline by seeing 20 pitches across five appearances without swinging at pitches outside the strike zone. Manager Mark Kotsay stated the organization plans to challenge both players during the final three weeks of the season to further their development within the system.
