Chelsea winger Jamie Gittens confirmed his role in Xabi Alonso's squad for the upcoming season, expressing confidence in the manager's approach. Gittens, who struggled last season after joining from Borussia Dortmund for £52m, noted Alonso’s emphasis on positivity and creation in attacking play. He aims to build on his recent performance, having scored in Alonso's initial matches against Crawley and Bromley after returning from a hamstring injury. Gittens believes that new signings like Morgan Rogers will enhance the team's ambitions, following a disappointing previous campaign where Chelsea finished 10th in the Premier League.
