Janelle Salaun scores 22 as Valkyries edge Storm 76-72

Janelle Salaun scored 22 points and made five 3-pointers for the Golden State Valkyries in their 76-72 victory over the Seattle Storm on June 12 in Seattle. Gabby Williams added 19 points against her former team, helping Golden State fend off a late comeback attempt. The Valkyries, who led by as many as 15, struggled in the final quarter, making just one field goal but held on for the win. Seattle's Natisha Hiedeman scored a career-high 26 points, but the Storm has now lost eight consecutive games. Golden State is set to begin a three-game homestand against Los Angeles next.
