Japan Cricket Association allows independent hotel arrangements for Asian Games

The Japan Cricket Association confirmed that participating teams are permitted to make independent accommodation arrangements for the upcoming Asian Games. This decision follows reported concerns regarding the quality and suitability of the options originally offered to squads ahead of the tournament. The association acknowledged the logistical challenges surrounding the event's housing and opted to grant teams flexibility to secure their own lodging. This policy shift is intended to address athlete concerns and ensure that squads remain focused on competition preparation. Teams now have the autonomy to evaluate and book alternatives that meet their specific requirements for the duration of the games. The development marks a departure from standard centralized arrangements often seen in multisport events.
