Jared Goff criticized for limited passing to top receivers in Lions' game

Jared Goff's performance in the Detroit Lions' Week 2 game against the Buffalo Bills faced sharp criticism. Despite having star receivers Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams, Goff's targeting was minimal in the first half. He completed only three passes to them for a total of 49 yards. In total, the Lions finished the half with just 10 points. However, Goff improved after halftime, concluding the game with 327 passing yards, including 175 yards to St. Brown and Williams, as the Lions scored 31 points overall. Former Lions quarterback Dan Orlovsky had previously remarked on Goff's lack of targets for his high-paid receivers. The Lions are under pressure to perform after missing the playoffs last year and have made significant investments in their offensive talent.
