The Detroit Lions face the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, October 4, at Bank of America Stadium. Jared Goff has excelled against the blitz this season, completing 30 of 36 passes with five touchdowns. Carolina blitzes on 40% of opponent dropbacks, ranking seventh in the NFL. However, the Panthers' defensive struggles without starting cornerbacks Jaycee Horn and Mike Jackson Jr. may hinder their effectiveness despite their blitz strategy. Goff's efficient play suggests challenges for the Panthers' defense if adjustments aren't made in coverage.
- •Goff has 83.3% completion rate against the blitz this season.
- •Panthers rank seventh in NFL blitz rate at 40%.
- •Carolina lost both starting cornerbacks to injured reserve.
- •Game scheduled for October 4 at Bank of America Stadium.
- •Lions have scored 31 points in each game this season.
