Jared Goff willing to play in preseason, awaits Dan Campbell's decision

Summary

Jared Goff expressed his readiness to participate in the preseason if Detroit Lions coach Dan Campbell determines it beneficial for the team's new offense under Drew Petzing. Goff, who hasn't played in a preseason game since 2022, noted the importance of live reps for building familiarity with the reshaped offensive line and new offensive strategies. With significant adjustments being made, including personnel changes and the integration of new concepts, Campbell faces the decision on balancing the potential benefits of Goff's preseason appearances against the risks of injury.
