Jarod Wright of Explorers earns American Association Pitcher of the Week honors

Jarod Wright has been named the American Association Pitcher of the Week following his standout performances for the Explorers. In his initial outings since joining the team just before the all-star break, Wright held the Saltdogs scoreless for six innings in his first game and allowed only one run on five hits over five innings in a subsequent game. The Explorers recently concluded a series against the top team in the Western Division, winning two out of three games. Wright's contributions have been pivotal in this stretch.
