Defensive lineman Jason Lewis has committed to Syracuse, choosing the ACC rival over Florida State. Lewis, ranked as the No. 627 overall player in the 247Sports composite, was actively recruited by the Seminoles since February but opted for the Orange after visiting both programs. His commitment comes after Syracuse extended an offer in May, following Florida State's multiple visits and offers. The FSU Seminoles do have other defensive linemen committed, including four-star edge Anthony Cavallaro and three-star players Eric Vaulx Jr. and Jaxon Holly.
