Jasper Philipsen secured victory in stage 17 of the Tour de France on July 23, completing a 174.7km route from Chambery to Voiron. This win marked Philipsen's 11th stage victory in the Tour, snapping a difficult streak marked by numerous near misses in previous stages. Teammate Mathieu van der Poel played a crucial role in the lead-out, enabling Philipsen to finish several bike lengths ahead of Mauro Schmid and Olav Kooij. Philipsen expressed relief at overcoming pressure from his preceding performances and noted the impact of Van der Poel's support. Meanwhile, race leader Tadej Pogacar finished with the main peloton, but concerns arose over teammate Adam Yates, who struggled due to health issues during the stage.
