Jaxson Davis cancels visit to Minnesota, focusing on other schools

Top-50 basketball recruit Jaxson Davis has canceled his planned visit to the University of Minnesota. Davis, a four-star point guard ranked 39th nationally by 247Sports, had the Gophers among his four finalists but now appears to be prioritizing Creighton and Ohio State. His visit to Iowa, originally scheduled for this weekend, is also off. Davis is transferring to Monarch Academy in Kansas City for his senior season after being named Illinois Gatorade Player of the Year twice. Minnesota head coach Niko Medved has received only one commitment in the Class of 2027 from forward Isaiah Santos, while consensus top-100 recruit Malik Olajuwon remains scheduled to visit the Gophers.
