Jayden Daniels named key player for Commanders in 2026

Summary

Jayden Daniels is identified as the Washington Commanders' X-factor heading into the 2026 NFL season. After an impressive rookie year in 2024 that took the team to their first NFC Championship game in over 30 years, injuries limited him to just seven games in 2025. As training camp approaches, there is optimism that Daniels will be healthy and back in form. Success in the upcoming season is closely tied to his performance, as the Commanders aim to improve from last year's five wins. The team's potential for postseason contention depends significantly on Daniels' return to the level he displayed in his standout rookie season.
