Jayden Daniels opposes LSU's plan to use his No. 5 jersey

Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels has requested that Louisiana State University (LSU) not allow any player to wear his former jersey No. 5. Despite former coach Brian Kelly telling sophomore cornerback DJ Pickett he could wear the number, Daniels' family has issued a cease-and-desist order. They expressed disappointment over the university's decision to assign the number to another player, arguing that it undermines Daniels' legacy following his Heisman-winning season. The jersey has not been worn in three years, raising questions about the future of number assignments at LSU.
