Jaylen Brown competes in exhibition boxing match in Nigeria

NBA player Jaylen Brown made his boxing debut in an exhibition bout against heavyweight Solomon Imoleayo in Nigeria. The Philadelphia 76ers guard participated in the match during the offseason, following recent travel in Egypt and China. Brown stated he performed no formal training for the event. His father, Quenton Marselles Brown, is a former professional boxer who held WBU World Champion and WBU C.A.M. Heavyweight Champion titles. Brown previously mentioned in February at All-Star weekend that he considered pursuing combat sports after his professional basketball career concludes. He remains under contract with the 76ers after being traded from the Boston Celtics earlier this offseason.
