Jaylen Brown hosts Boston block party after trade to Philadelphia 76ers

Forward Jaylen Brown held a public block party at Boston Common on Sunday to mark his departure from the Boston Celtics. The event, titled 741 Frequency Fest, featured a concert and a display of the Larry O'Brien Championship Trophy that Brown won with the team in 2024. Brown was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers in early July after 10 seasons in Boston. He previously noted feelings of disrespect from the organization regarding the trade but expressed continued affection for the city and its fans. Brown is set to face his former team when the Celtics host the Philadelphia 76ers during the preseason on October 10. He will make his first regular-season appearance at TD Garden on January 21.
