Jayson Tatum aims for MVP with Celtics in 2026-27 NBA season

Jayson Tatum looks to have a standout season with the Boston Celtics as they approach the 2026-27 NBA season. After an injury-plagued 2025-26 campaign, Tatum expects to play a larger role following Jaylen Brown's departure. Analysts suggest that to be MVP-worthy, Tatum needs to average 29 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 assists while leading the Celtics to a top-3 finish in the Eastern Conference. Tatum has previously made four All-NBA first teams but has never finished higher than fourth in MVP voting. His individual success may hinge on the overall performance of the Celtics this season.
