Jayson Tatum incorporates Achilles injury into design of new signature shoe

Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum unveiled the Jordan Brand Tatum 5 signature shoe on September 9, 2026. The new sneaker features five lines on the right heel to signify the surgical scar resulting from the Achilles rupture he sustained in May 2025. Tatum noted the design reflects his physical and mental recovery process following the injury, which sidelined him until March 2026.
