Jedd Fisch prepares for third different opponent coach in Apple Cup

Washington Huskies head coach Jedd Fisch faces a third different Washington State head coach in as many meetings this Sunday at Husky Stadium. The 118th Apple Cup kicks off at 1:00 p.m. with Kirby Moore making his head coaching debut for the Cougars. Fisch noted that the lack of consistent leadership on the opposing sideline creates a unique preparation challenge for his program. Washington State’s coaching staff includes defensive coordinator Trent Bray, who previously faced Fisch as the defensive coordinator at Oregon State. Despite the roster and scheme uncertainty, Fisch emphasized that the Huskies are now the more consistent program compared to his first season. The teams last met in 2025 when Washington recorded a school-record 59 points in a victory.
