Jeffery Simmons expects to thrive in new Titans defensive scheme

Tennessee Titans defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons prepares for a revamped defense under head coach Robert Saleh following the team's struggles with a 3-14 record. Simmons, coming off a career-high 11 sacks last season, emphasizes the aggressive approach of the new scheme, which focuses on attacking offenses instead of merely countering double-teams. Offseason moves include new defensive signings and a plan to implement a rotation to keep linemen fresh during games. Simmons, recovering from elbow surgery, is committed to his conditioning ahead of training camp while remaining focused on performance rather than contract discussions.
