Jensen Beach American Legion baseball team reunites 40 years after championship

Players from Jensen Beach Post 126 commemorated their 1986 World Series championship at a gathering in Port Salerno on August 8. Many team members recalled the summer of their undefeated journey, culminating in an 8-2 victory over Las Vegas for the national title. They shared memories, watched a documentary, and reflected on the impact of their coach, Bob Shaw, who pushed them through rigorous training. Most of the team went on to play at the collegiate level and achieved success in their careers, both in and out of baseball. The event marked a celebration of long-lasting friendships and shared experiences within the community.
