Jeovanni Henley commits to Cal for college football

San Mateo's Jeovanni Henley has announced his commitment to the University of California, Berkeley, selecting the Bears on Saturday. The safety chose Cal over several other programs, including BYU, Penn State, Texas, and Washington. Henley credited his relationship with assistant coach Tosh Lupoi, dating back to Lupoi's tenure at Oregon, as a key factor in his decision. He participated in Cal's Elite Junior Day in January and stated that he is eager to develop under the Bears' coaching staff. Henley is the fifth Northern California recruit for Cal's 2026 class.
