Jeremy Lin reflects on the mental toll of injuries during NBA career

Retired NBA guard Jeremy Lin recently stated that the injuries he sustained throughout his career affected his mental state more significantly than he initially recognized. While Lin achieved a championship with the Toronto Raptors during the 2019 season, he noted that his prime was heavily impacted by physical setbacks, including a ruptured patellar tendon in his right knee. Although he returned to play 74 regular-season games for Atlanta and Toronto following his injury, he characterized his final season as a period where he struggled to regain his previous form. Lin retired from professional basketball in August 2025 after spending time in international leagues. He finished his nine-season NBA career with career averages of 11.6 points and 4.3 assists per game.
