Minnesota Vikings have signed former Detroit Lions running back Jermar Jefferson. The move comes after the team waived Jordan Mims with an injury designation. Jefferson had three carries for no gain in the Vikings' preseason opener against the New York Giants. He spent time with the Lions from 2021 to 2024 and has since played for the Tennessee Titans, San Francisco 49ers, and Arizona Cardinals. If retained on the roster, he will face the Lions twice this season, starting with their matchup on November 1 in Detroit.
