Jeron Jones impresses as Washington's freshman cornerback in scrimmage

During a recent scrimmage on August 16, Jeron Jones showcased his skills as a freshman cornerback for the Washington Huskies. Assumedly filling in for the limited Dylan Robinson, Jones exhibited strong coverage and athleticism on the field, most making a pass breakup on the first play. Head coach Jedd Fisch praised Jones for his elite confidence and resilience in coverage. Following spring practice in a nickel role, Jones has transitioned to the outside, earning significant first-team reps and proving his technical abilities in the defensive setup. Washington continues to develop Jones as he approaches his first Big Ten season.
