Jets rebuild defense under Aaron Glenn in need of time to develop

The New York Jets are undergoing a defensive overhaul under head coach Aaron Glenn following a disappointing 2025 season. General manager Darren Mougey has added veterans like Minkah Fitzpatrick and Demario Davis while drafting edge rusher David Bailey. Developing team chemistry and establishing roles will be key as the new unit prepares for training camp and the preseason. Glenn's coaching staff, including defensive coordinator Brian Duker, is expected to focus on building a cohesive defense that can improve after recording just four takeaways last season.
