Jets sign Brant Banks to practice squad and release Mykal Walker

The New York Jets signed offensive lineman Brant Banks to the practice squad and released offensive lineman Marquis Hayes. The team also released linebacker Mykal Walker and running back Dominic Richardson after both players accepted injury settlements. Walker, who started 14 games last season, was previously placed on injured reserve after suffering a calf injury during training camp. The roster adjustments follow a busy period of workouts for the Jets, who evaluated quarterbacks Will Levis and Jack Plummer on September 3. The club also hosted wide receivers Joseph Manjack, Tejhaun Palmer, Dayton Wade, and Tahh Washington for tryouts as they continue to evaluate their depth across the roster.
