Jets sign Gee Scott as wide receiver despite tight end background

The New York Jets have signed Gee Scott, a former Ohio State tight end, as a wide receiver. Scott, who was undrafted in 2025 and spent time on the practice squad of the Washington Commanders, takes the roster spot of Da'Quan Felton. There are questions regarding the fit, as Scott is generally viewed as a better fit for tight end. He had 27 catches for 253 yards and two touchdowns during his national championship season at Ohio State. Scott's NFL debut has yet to occur, and he will need to showcase his ability to block and catch passes to secure a permanent spot on the Jets' roster.
