- 4:05 PMCageside Seats — Jey Uso runs it back on Oba Femi as the IWC fumes
"Oba Femi wasn’t down with Jey Uso running it back on Raw. | (Photo: WWE) Jey Uso told the world he would run his entrance back on Jesus if they were in the ring. If he’s brazen enough to do that to the Son of God, Oba Femi had to know he’d be no exception. And he wasn’t. Oba Femi DID NOT want to run it back! 😂 pic.twitter.com/W5yV3IkqYn — WWE (@WWE) June 22, 2026 The finalists in the King of the Ring came face-to-face on Raw days before they duke it out at Night of Champions for the crown and a world title opportunity at SummerSlam. Fans called for “Main Event” Jey to run it back shortly after he arrived, but “The Ruler” wasn’t having it. “If you’re thinking of running it back, I’m going to put an end to that right now,” he threatened. Uso, not bothered, slammed the mic down and ran it back, all while Femi looked on as if someone had cut one in church. Yet, the fans in London’s O2 arena cheered wildly. But as entertained as they were, online fans weren’t amused. IWC Says ‘No Yeet’ “Just awful but expect nothing else from the entrance merchant,” read one of the many negative comments to WWE’s highlight on X. With Uso so close to becoming King, one would think we were on the brink of disaster, according to similar comments on Reddit, Instagram, and right here at Cageside Seats. For that reason, Jey Uso should win the King of the Ring. The people who love him will naturally be happy for him. WWE would probably be happy, too. As one of the company’s top merchandise sellers in 2025, WWE could cash in on “King Yeet” gear. His detractors, who have been riding him since he won the 2025 Royal Rumble, will continue to stage protests online. As much as an Uso win would please his fans, upsetting his haters is just as good. Despite their vitriol and threats to stop watching WWE, echoed constantly in wrestling forums across the internet, they’ll still tune in, hoping to see Uso’s eventual downfall. It’s another reason WWE should feel bold enough to pull the trigger on an Uso coronation. If his push falls flat, WWE can always reverse course. At a minimum, the reactions to Uso beating Femi from the 48 hours between Night of Champions and next Monday’s Raw would be priceless. It’s the kind of engagement a company like WWE thrives on.
