Colombian forward Jhon Duran is reportedly nearing a transfer to SL Benfica, according to Fabrizio Romano. Barcelona had shown interest in Duran as a potential striker option, but Romano stated that he is not seen as an alternative to Julian Alvarez. Duran joined Al Nassr in 2025 and has spent time on loan in Turkey and Russia. He scored 12 goals in 18 competitive appearances for Al Nassr. Barcelona remains interested in signing Alvarez, but negotiations could face delays if Atletico Madrid refuses to sell.
