Jim Cornette sharply criticized Roman Reigns for attending the recent UFC Freedom 250 event that took place on the South Lawn of the White House, calling the WWE star “an attention whore.” On June 14, Reigns was spotted with Paul “Triple H” Levesque at the UFC event, and he later shared a post about his attendance on social media. The WWE World Heavyweight Champion being at the event drew an immediate reaction from wrestling fans, even though he has spoken in the past about his support for President Donald Trump. On the latest episode of his Drive-Thru podcast that dropped on Friday (June 19), Cornette let loose on his feelings about Reigns. “He’ll go to Saudi Arabia. He’ll go to the White House. He’ll go wherever they’ll pay him. He’s just an attention whore,” the legendary former wrestling manager and promoter said. Cornette continued: “He’s a big enough star he could have said no f***ing way to the White House. So, we now know he’s one of them and what he’s all about. Boring and questionable values.” The discussion on the podcast turned to a recent segment on Raw featuring The Bloodline, and Corny shared his feeling on Reigns as a performer. He knocked The OTC for taking “forever to the ring” and “forever to speak.” “Then he starts speaking, and still nothing gets done,” Cornette said. The criticism from Cornette follows a similar take from Paul Walter Hauser, an acting star and professional wrestler, who spoke out last week against Reigns’ recent appearance at UFC Freedom 250. “Is this where you are when you’re never wrestling?” Hauser wrote on X (Twitter). “Why do guys like Darby Allin and Kenny Omega wrestle every single week, and yet, they don’t ask us to ‘acknowledge them’?
