Jim Furyk will not compete in his own PGA Tour Champions event

Summary

Jim Furyk announced he will not play in the Constellation Furyk & Friends PGA Tour Champions event this year, taking place next week at Hammock Beach in Palm Coast. This marks the first time since the tournament's inception in 2021 that he will not participate, citing back discomfort from playing multiple rounds. Despite stepping back from competition, Furyk will engage with sponsors and fans, and contribute to tournament operations while appearing as an analyst on Golf Channel. The event has raised over $5 million for charity in its first five years and has been voted the best on the Champions Tour multiple times.
