J.J. McCarthy struggles as Kyler Murray improves before Vikings camp
Summary

J.J. McCarthy faces increasing pressure in the Vikings' quarterback competition against Kyler Murray. Although McCarthy has two years in head coach Kevin O’Connell’s system, reports indicate Murray is catching up fast. Murray has been working to learn the full complexity of the offense and showed notable progress during workouts. Despite past concerns regarding his performance, Murray’s dual-threat ability could provide an edge for the Vikings, who hope to improve after finishing 2025 without a playoff berth. Training camp is set to begin soon.
