JJ Peterka anticipates easier transition to Boston Bruins roster

Winger JJ Peterka expects a smoother transition to the Boston Bruins following his offseason trade from the Utah Mammoth. The 24-year-old winger joins a Boston organization featuring German-speaking head coach Marco Sturm and former teammate Casey Mittelstadt. Peterka, who finished the 2025-26 season with 47 points, aims to provide the speed and skill requested by general manager Don Sweeney. He previously played for assistant coach Matt McIlvane in Salzburg and represented Germany at the 2026 Winter Olympics alongside teammate Lukas Reichel. Peterka plans to report to training camp on September 16, where he hopes to earn a spot on a line with David Pastrnak.
