J.K. Dobbins starts season as Broncos' top running back
Summary

J.K. Dobbins has been named the starting running back for the Denver Broncos heading into the 2026 NFL season. This marks his return after injuries resulted in limited games over previous seasons. Dobbins, who joined the Broncos in 2025, signed a two-year, $16 million extension and is looking to secure a full season of play. The Broncos have also drafted Jonah Coleman as a backup option in case Dobbins faces durability issues. The team hopes Dobbins' performance will help them return to the playoffs for a third consecutive year.
