Joe Girardi set to return to Citizens Bank Park as manager

Joe Girardi will make a managerial appearance at Citizens Bank Park on August 16 during the Perfect Game DICK'S All-American Classic. This event occurs several years after Girardi's last managing role with the Phillies, which ended in 2022. He has expressed openness to a major league coaching return, reflecting continued speculation about his future in baseball management. Girardi previously led the Yankees to a World Series title in 2009 and managed the Phillies from 2020 to 2022, achieving mixed results with the team. His new role at the classic pairs him with former Phillies star Shane Victorino, who is managing Team East.
