Joe Pavelski joins Wisconsin hockey coaching staff as director of player development

Wisconsin men's hockey coach Mike Hastings announced three staff additions on August 20, including Joe Pavelski as director of player development. Pavelski, a United States Hockey Hall of Famer, returns to his alma mater after an 18-year NHL career, during which he scored 1,068 points. Andy Brandt, a teammate from the 2006 national championship team, is also returning in a coaching role after leading the Madison Capitols to the conference finals.
