Joe Tryon-Shoyinka, a former first-round draft pick of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, has retired from the NFL at the age of 27. Selected 32nd overall in the 2021 NFL Draft, Tryon-Shoyinka played a total of six seasons, recording 160 tackles, 15 sacks, and two forced fumbles across 82 games. After stints with the Buccaneers, Bears, and Browns, his retirement was officially reported on June 19, 2026. His NFL career did not match the expectations set by his college performance at Washington, where he recorded 9.5 sacks in his final two seasons.
