Joel Klatt identifies run game concerns for Kalen DeBoer's Alabama

Fox analyst Joel Klatt stated that the Alabama Crimson Tide offense under head coach Kalen DeBoer lacks the identity of a dominant rushing team. Despite a 48–10 victory against the East Carolina Pirates to open the season, Klatt suggested the current offensive approach does not align with the traditional run-heavy style established during the tenure of Nick Saban. Alabama recorded 227 rushing yards on 49 attempts in that game, averaging 4.63 yards per carry. Klatt pointed to previous struggles against stout defensive fronts, including a 38–3 loss to Indiana in the Rose Bowl and a 28–7 defeat to Georgia in the SEC Championship. In those games, the team's inability to establish the run proved significant, with Alabama limited to 23 rushing yards against Indiana and -3 rushing yards against Georgia.
