Johan Franzen embraces seclusion after Red Wings retirement

Former Detroit Red Wings winger Johan Franzen has chosen a life of seclusion in Östergötland, Sweden, following his retirement. Franzen, who achieved significant playoff success, including 13 goals in the 2008 postseason, has largely remained out of the public eye. He discussed his struggles with post-concussion syndrome and PTSD related to his time under coach Mike Babcock. Despite his preference for privacy, Franzen's legacy continues, with his No. 6 jersey recently retired at the KFK Mekan Arena, and he will receive a star at the Vetlanda Square of Honor during the upcoming Vetlanda Festival.
