Johan Manzambi scores twice as Switzerland rout Bosnia & Herzegovina 4-1

Switzerland claimed their first victory in the World Cup on June 18, 2026, with a convincing 4-1 win over Bosnia & Herzegovina. SC Freiburg's Johan Manzambi came off the bench in the second half to score two goals, significantly impacting the match. Switzerland controlled the game and opened the scoring shortly after Manzambi's introduction, capitalizing on Bosnia's reduced numbers after a red card. The Swiss added two more goals before Bosnia managed a consolation effort late in the match. They now prepare for their next game against co-hosts Canada on June 21 in Vancouver.
