- 2:00 PMCageside Seats — WWE Raw preview (Nov. 2, 2026): John Cena doesn’t understand the huge risk he’s taking by returning to WWE
"Raw airs tonight (Nov. 2) with a live show emanating from Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. This is the final episode of Raw during the four week build to Crown Jewel, which takes place on Saturday (Nov. 7) in a war zone in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, because that’s how TKO puts humanity first. Raw has a special start time of 6 pm ET. John Cena doesn’t understand the huge risk he’s taking by returning to WWE John Cena returns to Raw tonight with a “very special announcement” that nearly everyone assumes is about the upcoming John Cena Classic. By the time John’s segment is over, we should know a lot more details regarding the date, location, and rules of his Classic. After nearly six months of intense meetings, what exactly has WWE creative and Cena come up with to make fans fall in love with this brand new concept? Is it really true that wins and losses don’t matter in the John Cena Classic? The fact that Cena is back on Raw tonight for the first time in 2026 is a big deal, of course, but I don’t think John truly understands how the landscape of WWE has changed since his final Raw episode nearly one year ago. You see, the 946 is now the most dominant faction in WWE, and their catchphrase is “Ain’t Nobody Safe.” If Royce Keys’ faction really wants to make a statement that everyone will remember, they should probably run Cena over with a car tonight, or take some other heinous action to make him regret returning for tonight’s announcement. If the 946 instead chooses to play by the rules and admit that at least one man is safe, then they will ignore John and focus all their attention on tonight’s main event match of Keys vs. Solo Sikoa, which definitely wasn’t set up with AI or green screens. If the goal is to eventually to build to a title match of Keys vs. Roman Reigns, then Royce can’t really lose this match. Will the rest of The Bloodline run in to incite a wild brawl with 946, possibly featuring the return of Jacob Fatu? How does LA Knight factor into this angle? Is Roman Reigns too preoccupied with Sami Zayn to join the fight this time? Tune into Raw at its early start time tonight to see the latest chapter in the war between The Bloodline and 946, and to see John Cena potentially put himself in danger so that he can make a very special announcement in New York City. The rest of the card World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns returns to Raw tonight to address WWE Champion Sami Zayn one last time before they repeatedly punch each other in the face during their match at Crown Jewel. Does Roman take Sami more seriously after The Last Real Good Guy retained his title against both Je’Von Evans and Trick Williams last week? Will The 946 interrupt and take out The OTC after what he did to them a couple weeks ago? If so, will Money in the Bank contract holder Penta cash in for a title match and change the Crown Jewel main event with less than one week to go? Speaking of Penta, he is teaming up with Evans and Dragon Lee in a six-man tag tonight against The Vision’s Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, and that dweeb Austin Theory. Dragon could be the fall guy who is getting crushed with a Tsunami here if WWE is planning for Oba Femi to show up at Crown Jewel to help Penta and Je’Von win the world tag team championship from Breakker and Theory. Intercontinental Champion Chad Gable has been flawless at defending his title against all the babyface luchadors in WWE, but that doesn’t really matter tonight when he puts the gold on the line against Ethan Page. “All Ego” now has Big Cass by his side, and they were too much for Gable to handle last week. Chad should probably find a way to get Big ejected from ringside tonight to give himself the best chance to walk out of Brooklyn with the belt. Other stuff to keep an eye on – Raw is starting early tonight (6 pm ET) in Brooklyn because WWE is also taping this week’s SmackDown before flying over to Saudi Arabia. With all the SmackDown wrestlers backstage, I think there’s a very good chance that Tiffany Stratton will find another way to fail at cashing in her Money in the Bank contract tonight. Will she take the bait if WWE Women’s Champion Chelsea Green and Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan confront each other in the ring tonight for one last promo battle before their match at Crown Jewel? – Becky Lynch must be irate after her main event title match against Morgan last week ended in a shitty disqualification. Will The Man take out all of her frustration tonight on Roxanne Perez? Is there a chance that Stephanie Vaquer is ready to return from illness to remind Becky that she couldn’t get the job done? – Is the feud between Bayley and Lyra Valkyria finally over after last week’s No Disqualification match? Is Bayley ready to move on and challenge for a title after picking up the win? – IYO SKY should probably challenge for the women’s Intercontinental championship ASAP after pinning Raquel Rodriguez in consecutive weeks. Does GM Adam Pearce plan to announce a date for this expected title match? – Oba Femi doesn’t wrestle on Raw anymore and hasn’t even been on the show over the last couple of weeks. Will The Ruler make an appearance tonight to give WWE fans an idea on what he’s doing at either Crown Jewel or Survivor Series: War Games? What about Paul Heyman? – Can Joe Hendry convince Triple H to put him on the show tonight after getting squashed like a total jabroni on WWE’s C-show last week? – How is Dirty Dominik Mysterio now one of the most irrelevant heels on Raw? What can he do to change that? – Where the f*** is Seth Rollins? He’s probably somewhere that’s much safer than traveling to Riyadh for Crown Jewel. What will you be looking for on Raw?
